Cyro- electron microscope single particle analysis (SPA) software training notice

In the field of life science, structural biology has become one of the most important tools to understand the basic principles of life. In addition to X-ray crystallography and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), three-dimensional reconstruction by cryo-transmission electron microscope (cyro- electron microscope for short) is another method to study the three-dimensional structure of macromolecular complexes. In recent years, due to the sample preparation, the great progress of hardware development and data processing algorithms, cyro- electron microscope has had the resolution revolution. More and more structural biologists in the field of non-electron microscope have begun to focus on the prospect of cyro- electron microscope technology, so the need for non-electron microscope structural biologists to learn and adopt this technique is growing rapidly.

In order to promote the opportunity for non- cyro- electron microscope structural biologists or the students new to the field of electron microscope to learn this state-of-the-art technology, Shanghai Yuexin Life-Science Information Technology Co., Ltd. will organize a training session for single particle analysis (SPA) technology exchange in Beijing on December 20 and 21.

I. Training time:December 20 and 21 of 2018 (please sign in before 9:30 on the same day)

II. Training location:Jingyi Science and Technology Building, which is located at No. 9 Da Zhong Si East Road, Haidian District, Beijing (tentative), the specific venue will be decided according to the number of applicants (SMS notification)

III. Basic information of training:

1）There is no registration fee for the training, which includes lunch on the first day and the two-day tea break. Please make your own arrangements for transportation, and meals and accommodation at other times.

2）Due to the limitation of space and resources, this training will mainly focus on the operation explanation of engineers, and the calculation results will be completed in advance to save time. For individuals, do not need to bring the computer, and please bring a notebook and pen.

2. Meals

The company will provide lunch and tea break during the training (on December 20). The tea break time will be flexibly adjusted according to the progress of the engineer, and the specific time and place of the meal will be notified on site.

3. Transportation

1) Get off at Zhichun Road station of subway line 10 or 13 and exit from Southwest exit (Exit B). After leaving the station, go west and head 600 meters to the south at the first intersection.
